How are we handling Covid-19 preparations this year?
Pretty much the same way we did last year. We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility as we work towards getting back to “normal”.
This season, when it comes to same-day turnovers we will continue the process of disinfecting soft surfaces (couches, beds, rugs). In addition to spraying the soft surfaces and doing the normal turnover cleaning, they will also be disinfecting all high-contact surfaces. This includes everything from remote controls to light switches, door knobs, thermostats etc. While the CDC has said that there is minimal risk of surface transmission, we feel that our guests’ health and peace of mind are worth the extra effort.
However, there isn’t a safe and timely way to disinfect things like pillows and comforters between guests. We are continuing to alternate sets of comforters between guests as there is simply not enough time to wash and dry 11 comforters in a same day turnover. We will continue to ask our guests to bring their own pillows. We realize this is far from ideal but given the situation we think our guests understand the challenges.
