What is the plan for handling COVID in 2022?
Well, who knows what the world will be like in 2022. Hopefully we are all in a better place with regard to COVID-19. That said, we have learned a lot about this virus and how to protect ourselves and each other, including what we DON’T need to do. Long gone are the days of wiping down all your groceries. The CDC announced earlier this year that the risk of “Surface transmission” of COVID-19 was “Low”, especially with regard to “porous” or “soft” surfaces. Next season, while we will continue our thorough cleaning of hard surfaces such as faucets, sinks and counters, we will no longer be performing any “soft surface” sanitization.
There still isn’t a safe and timely way to disinfect things like pillows so we will continue to ask our guests to bring their own pillows. We realize this is far from ideal but given the situation we think our guests understand the challenges.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this seemingly endless pandemic. We are looking forward to another great summer at the Jersey Shore and we hope you are too.
